Puttu is my favourite dish from Kerala.
It brings back lots of lovely memories of my mum who was originally from Kerala and made it as a weekend breakfast treat for the family!
It requires a cylinder / tube like container to present tthe dish in its true authentic form.
Made from steamed rice, flour and layered with grated coconut, it is a simple and easy to make recipe.
There are no spices involved and very little ingredients are needed.
It is essentially a steamed dish and brings a touch of Kerala to the soul.
